The Government will reimburse the employers as follow for the eligible female employees:

Children	The Government will pay to the Employers
1^st and 2^nd Child	Up to SGD20,000 (including CPF contributions) per confinement for the last 8 weeks
3^rd and subsequent children	Up to SGD40,000 (including CPF contributions) per confinement for the full 16 weeks
Note: Employer may claim reimbursement subsequently from the Government for the amount of Government-paid maternity leave taken. For the 1st and 2nd confinements, Government reimbursement is applicable only after employer has duly paid the employee for 8 weeks of maternity leave.
