If your foreign employees (work pass, in-principle approval (IPA), Dependantβs Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass holders) meet the criteria below, you must take the following actions:
Type of foreign employees | What you need to do |
Travelled to mainland China within 14 days before arriving in Singapore from 31 Jan 2020 6pm. | 1.Declare to MOM immediately that you have informed the affected foreign employees of the LOA requirement. 2.Request for MOMβs approval 3 days before your employeeβs planned arrival date in Singapore. For urgent cases, you may still apply and MOM will try to facilitate. 3.Inform the affected employees that they will be on a 14-day LOA upon arrival in Singapore and get their written acknowledgement. Please keep this acknowledgement form and submit it to MOM when requested by the Controller of Work Passes. |
Have passports issued in Hubei and are currently overseas. Β OR Β Travelled to Hubei within the last 14 days and are currently overseas, regardless of nationalities. Β | 1.Defer the affected employeesβ entry/return to Singapore as far as possible until further notice from MOM. 2.Inform MOM of your employeesβ travel plans immediately. Β |
For IPA holders who are on LOA or being quarantined: | If you need more time to issue the Employment Pass or S Pass, you can request for an extension of the issuance deadline within 2 weeks before the pass holder’s Short-Term Visit Pass expires.For Work Permit holders, MOM will automatically extend their Short-Term Visit Passes by 14 days, and notify employers when the extension is approved. |
