Is EP appeal accepted due to rejection?
You have 3 months toย appeal an unsuccessful Employment Pass application, but you should do soย only if you can address the reasons for rejection.
You can check the rejection advisory inย EPย Onlineย to view the reasons for rejection and advice on what to do next. If you applied manually, check the rejection letter.
When to appeal
You should only appeal if you can address the issues in your rejection advisory. There will be no change in the outcome unless there is new information in the appeal.
To help you make your decision:
- Use theย Selfยญ-Assessment Tool (SAT)ย to get an idea of whether the candidate qualifies.
- Check the rejection advisory for the steps you need to take.
You need to submit your appealย within 3 monthsย of getting the rejection. If you miss this time period, you will have to submit a new application.
Who can appeal?
Only theย employer or authorised third partyย who submitted the application can make enquiries or appeals. We will not entertain enquiries or appeals from the candidate, or anyone else.

Submit an appeal
When: Within 3 months of rejection
You can make an appeal throughย EP Online with the reference number of submission of supporting documents.
After making your appeal, you can log in to EP Online to:
- Check the status of your appeal.
- Print the outcome letter.
MOM will not be able to discuss appeal matters in person due to the high volume of appeals.
How long it takes
Processing time for most appeals are at least 6 weeks, sometimes longer. You can always log in to EP Onlineย to check your appeal status.
