Cancellation Of Work Holiday Pass (WHVP)

When to cancel

• You need to cancel a Work Holiday Pass when you have completed your employment in Singapore.
• You can also cancel it before the end of its 6-month validity period.

Who can cancel

• Pass holder or appointed employment agent.

How long it takes

• Cancellation is immediate.

Note:

• You can issue a 30-day Short Term Visit Pass (STVP) to allow the pass holder to stay in Singapore before departing.
• The pass holder must give the STVP to the immigration officer when leaving the country.
• You can only reapply for another Work Holiday Pass after 12 months from the day your previous one had expired, or was cancelled.

Cancellation by yourself when you are still in Singapore

To cancel the pass yourself, you must:

• Make an appointment to visit the Employment Pass Services Centre at:

     http://www.mom.gov.sg/eservices/services/make-an-appointment

• Under Employment Pass holders & Dependants, choose Pass Issuance / Renewal / Cancellation.

Cancellation by yourself when you have left Singapore

• You need to submit a Request Form for MOM to cancel your pass.

Cancellation through Employment Agency

To cancel it through an employment agency:

• Find a licensed employment agency to cancel your pass using EP Online.
• The old WHP Card is no longer required to be returned to MOM when WHP is cancelled through an licensed employment agency.

Discard the old pass card

• You must cut the old work pass card in half upon successful cancellation.
• The purpose of cutting the old work pass card in half is to prevent any misuse.
