If you are covered by the Employment Act, you are entitled to paid sick leave if you have worked for your employer for at least 3 months. Find out about your entitlements.


Sick leave eligibility and entitlement	You are entitled to both paid sick leave and paid hospitalisation leave if you have worked for at least 3 months with your employer. Your sick leave should be certified by a company doctor, a company-approved doctor or government doctor.
Medical reimbursements and salary during sick leave	If you take paid sick leave and paid hospitalisation leave, your employer needs to reimburse you for medical consultation fees and pay your salary.
Sick leave in special situations	Your sick leave entitlements may be affected in different situations, such as during non-working days, while serving notice and if your MC is from a private doctor.
