How can I get employment pass in Singapore?

This guide will assist you for finding a suitable job in Singapore:

• Compare the work passes for professionals.
• Compare the work permits for Skilled & Semi-Skilled workers.
  
• Determine your qualifications under which of the above two categories.
  
• Choose a matching industry with your qualifications.
  
• Search Online, MOM approved Employment Agencies (EA) and other channels for jobs.
  
• Find the suitable job.
  
• If any job is offered without Employment Agent (EA) then liaise directly with the employer.
  
• If any job is offered through an EA, then approach them.
  
• Attend interview either personally or on video channels as required.
  
• Once selected, then either the employer or the EA will further take care.
  
• Foreign worker’s consent is required before applying for any type of work pass which the Employer or EA will do.
  
• Employer or Employer authorised EA will apply for relevant work pass with the Ministry Of Manpower (MOM).
  
• MOM will process the applications and notify the outcome with employer or Agency.
  
• The Employer would then arrange for buying Immigration Bond applicable only for Work Permits and update with MOM before the arrival of workers.
  
• In case of failure of updating the Immigration Bond with MOM then the foreign work permit holders will not be allowed to enter into Singapore.
  
• Either Employer or Agency will send you the In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter and Employment Contract / Agreement.
  
• IPA is to be sent to foreign workers 3 days before arrival.
  
• Book the ticket with valid IPA in your home country.
  
• Fly to Singapore
  
• The IPA will enable you to enter into Singapore.
  
• Either employer or Agency will take care from receiving you at the airport until you land in your job with all other formalities such as medical check-up, medical insurance, work injury insurance, orientation training, safety training, Settling In Program, registering with professional board, etc
  
• Note: The whole process will vary according to the type of work pass hence please check it appropriately.
