Does employer have the right to make me declare the jab status?
Do I need to disclose the status of my CV-19 jabbing?
Should I state my status of COVID-19 inoculation?
Is my inoculation status required to be declared with my employer?
Employer is not entitled legally to make the staff disclose the status of inoculation. The inoculation is staffβs personal health matter. The staff might have not been vaccinated due to health reasons. Hence, asking the status of inoculation is discrimination. However, if the employer is able to justify the valid reasons, then the staff may be required to disclose it to safeguard the interest of all parties.
Eg:
- In order to travel overseas where the particular countryβs travel requirements include the COVID-19 inoculation also.
- In order to deploy as the front line staff.
