Is cancelling In-Principle Approval (IPA) requires any information or document?
Request to cancel In-Principle Approval (IPA)
Information needed
The form at WPOL takes around five minutes to complete. You will need these details:
- Work Permit number
- Date of application (for multiple IPA cancellations)
- Worker’s departure details if he/she is leaving or has left Singapore (flight details (if any), departure date and immigration checkpoint)
- Employer’s CPF Submission number (for employment agency cancelling on behalf of employer)
Cancellation as the worker is missing, required by Authority (in prison/remand/under investigation) or has passed away
You need the following additional information or documents on hand for cancellation under these scenarios:
a. Non-Malaysian worker who is missing:
- Missing person police report
- Date the worker went missing
- Police report number and date
b. Worker has passed away:
- Death certificate
- Airway bill, cremation or burial certificate
- Cause of death
c. Worker is required by Authority (in prison/remand/under investigation):
- A letter from the Prison confirming that the worker is in prison/remand or;
- A letter from the authority confirming the investigation or;
- The investigating officer’s contact details
Note:
1. You can cancel multiple IPAs for Malaysian workers or non-Malaysian workers who are not issued with temporary permits. Please enter the range of dates under the Date of Application.
2. You can only cancel one IPA at a time for non-Malaysian workers who are issued with temporary permits. Please enter the WP number.
3. If you wish to cancel a foreign domestic worker’s IPA, please logon to FDW service portal.
